What does little idea mean? The term literally means little idea; it’s technically the overview of Vingtsun, the seed of the plant. No matter how its fruit grows, it has the essential DNA; without it, it loses its identity.

It is done totally/completely stationary, compared to any other styles, a lot of fancy, complex movements, it can easily confuse you, makes you underestimate it, if you do so, no way you can learn it well, the easier, the harder, makes sense? There are a lot of hidden details and mindfulness exercises, if you do it recklessly, those simple movements will be useless to you.

In Chinese, little doesn’t only describe the size of something, a little apple, a little dog, a little of something, it also means primary, fundamental, we say little school, little time ( younger age),  which means primary school, childhood, the “little” status/stage of something. So, is there any M size, L size, or even XL size idea? No, this simply means it’s the basis, and it’s important. Do not underestimate it because it’s small, tiny, or little, whatever adjective you prefer to use.

 Vingtsun is a collection of concepts and/or ideas, the little idea form basically covers everything essential of the Vingtsun system, an old saying goes, “if the idea is incorrect, your whole Ving Tsun is incorrect”, incicates that if you’ve learnt little idea well, you’ve learnt half of Ving Tsun system, that is to say its importance.
